I have a 2001 eldis xplore (advent 482) can anybody tell me what battery charger I need as mine gone caput

I assume the caravan is an Avante as the Xplore models came far later. I checked the Eldiss brochure for that year but it does not identify the make of charger fitted. You could try the Eldiss Owners club to see if they can help or an Eldiss dealer although I doubt the model fitted originally will still be available and you will need a compatible one.
 
Had mine fail on Coachman last Autumn. Check the main fuseboard, my charger was mounted in the top of it and was a simple plug in replacement. New unit cost £95 and of course no labour charge. But, before you get in deep with the cash check your battery is still ok as alleged that can take out the charger when it goes pop. Any cheap car charger will top it up to test.
