Trying to find a site in west cornwall in Febuary, found a nice looking site near St Ives, all looking good untill we came to the prices. £4 per night for the dog, and not even a dog walk on site!!!!!

I have written to the site and asked what facilities they have for dogs as they must be good for a staggering charge of £4 per night.

Ill let you know if I get an answer.

Ive got steam comming out of my ears on this. These ******** arnt robbing me, Ill go back to Carnon Downs, but we did want somewhere further west

Any sugestions??

Hi,

So we will all look for the sites that say DOGS FREE in bold type? Even if they charge more per van/person? But it probably won't happen while the supply/demand ratio remains at current level.

Er ..... if a site charges for dogs, does that make them any more liable if there are problems? Like if my dog pinches your dinner? Or if my dog cuts his foot on a tent peg?

I believe my dog is covered (3rd party) by my household insurance, for any damage he does. Does the same apply to my children (if I had any?) I'm not trying to start a dog v child debate .... but I would like to see kids covered by insurance.

But in the meantime, I don't ride a bike, and seldom light a BBQ.

How long before they become cash cows? TVs? Radios? Clothes lines? Balls?

Loved this bit:

'Dogs on site must be behaved and were so great if you are a dog lover. Owner has a bunch of lovely alsation dogs but boy can they bark! Noisy at times when they all set off, some sort of guard dogs.

Cockerel somewhere nearby starts at 4am and a cow moos a lot but this is the country! Was wet and windy so maybe we didn't see the best of it'.

__________

I wonder if the punters are allowed to complain about the site owners dogs barking?
