J JeremyClarksson Sep 13, 2006 1,411 0 0 Visit site Jan 19, 2007 #2 You would soon know if it is not as the water pump and 12V lights run off of the battery and would run it down if it was not being charged. If you buy a cheap voltmeter and connect it across the battery you should see a voltage rise when the mains elec or running car is connected.
