Cheeky Question

I notice that the Practical Caravan sister site 'Caravan Site Finder' has been offline for best part of a week. Putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 are Haymarket about to combine the two forums. It might not be a bad idea as the Site Finder forum is more functional that the PC one. Apparently even the Mods on the other forum don't know what is going on!

Hi David

You're right, the site finder forum appears to be 'down for maintenance' although the site finder itself appears to be ok.

We haven't been told of any impending changes or amalgamation.

The site finder forum replaced the Practical Motorhome forum but unfortunately although the Site Finder has been publicised the forum part of it seems to have been launched to a blaze of indifference.

It has all of the bells and whistles that this forum lacks but it appears to be very under used.

Historically the reason that Haymarket have always given for being unable to change the format of this forum is that the extensive archive of accumulated knowledge would be lost.

Members can't access any of this stored knowledge anyway as things stand with our present software so maybe one day they will combine the forums, we haven't been told anything though.

You're right David - the mods don't know what's going on. Even my email of a week ago to Haymarket has been ignored.
