Chrysler Voyager 2.8 diesel mpg

Shopping for a new car at the moment and had a look at the voyager with 2.8 diesel and auto box. Chrysler mpg figures appear respectable but other reviews aren't so encouraging. Any views on towing ability and mpg appreciated.

I see brians link is to the older model.

I have a 2002 grand voyager 2.5 CRD Manual

get 27mpg towing 1550kg and 3 bikes on roof.

36 round town solo and 44 on a run.

superb towcar

I have tested the 2.8 auto, but fuel consumption appeard a lot worse.

just a reminder as most people now know but watch the voyager and be carefull with your match, for such a large car it has a very low maximum tow load of only 1600 kgs. this rules a lot of 4 berth vans and most twin axles out.
