I am going to purchase a C5 2.0 HDI 90 LX TD what are they like for towing and are they better than the Pegeot 406 HDI 90 I am getting rid of if anyone could tell me more I will be happy.
 
The same engine is in both cars so performance should be similar. I have had a C5 1.9 110 and now have a C5 2.0 138 bhp and both are wonderful towcars, -- BUT BEWARE -- all C5s have a low max grass towing weight, they do vary slightly by model and engine type but all are low
 
Towed with a 90bhp HDi Picasso since it was new in 2002. Nice car and pulls 1100Kg well. I would shy away from this engine in a bigger car though as I rekon it would be a bit over worked. I would go for the 110 or 138 HDi units in the bigger car.
