CL, CS or Caravan Site within easy reach of RSPB Reserve, Dungeness

Your recommendations needed please for a CL, CS or small quiet Caravan site with EHU & WC within easy reach by car of the RSPB Reserve at Dungeness, Kent.

Thanks.

Hi Ya

The nearest and the best to use is DALEACRES Caravan Club site. Excellent facilities as you'll expect from the CC. Make sure you book in advance as its a very popular site. Easy access from Daleacres onto the A259 and follow it up Dungy and the RSPB site is on the left. You'll enjoy the RSPB site as the main reception/veiwing gallery over looks one of the many lakes with plenty of telescopes & bino's to use and droll over (I want one of these!).
Hope this helps
Enjoy

Hi

I've stopped at Romney Farm a few times now, lovely place. But last year i was the last person to leave around September 14th , they closed the site for a few months as that's when they take their holiday.

You could try Lords Farm, i haven't stopped there but it looks ok and I think it's open all year round. This year I stopped at Norwood Farm, lovely site but I think it closes on 1 October.

There's b& b at Pluto, Dungeness. quite reasonable rates. There's also a b and b somewhere along the Lydd on Sea drive which does birding weekends.

Thanks all for your replies. Daleacres certainly sounds in an ideal location, so think we will probably base ourselves there, especially as there's a Waitrose in Hythe!
