CL or park accepting 1 night overnight stay

Does any one know of a book/guide to overnight stops. Maybe one can be recommended. We are travelling from East Sussex to Newquay middle of August and as we have a 3 year old would like to stay overnight halfway enroute somewhere around Lyme Rgis or Charmouth.

cathie, Even though it is August I think you will find one site or more that has a pitch for the night.

There are 2 Cl's in Chideok and there are sites on the A35 at Charmouth e.g Newlands and Wood Farm CC site. There is then Hunters Moon just off the A35 at Axminster. After Honiton there is a site just off the A30 at Ottery St Mary.

Please be aware that going off the A35 onto the A3052 at the end of Charmouth bypass towards Lyme Regis is not recommended when towing.

Hi Ray,

We wanted to stay at Wood Farm, although web site states at that time of year they don't accept overnight stays but I will call them. As member of CC they may accept us. If not we can try the others you mentioned. Thanks for the advice about leaving the A35.
