Hi

My cataract operation has meant that we are rather late booking our March/April break near Llandudno. We have identified a few possible sites and I was wondering if anyone knows them personally. We have checked reviews on relevant sites.

The possibles so far are:

(1) Newry Grange CS

(2) Tyn Terfun, Conwy

(3) Hafod Fadog, Llanfairfechan

(4) Eirianws Farm, Conwy

(5) Pen Rhiw Uchaf, Colwyn

Alternately any other suggestions?

We like quiet CL type sites with giood views and not too expensive.

We are hopint to stay from 20/03 to a little after the Easter Bank Holiday.

Thanks

Tim

Don't know these sites. Hafody Farm in Colwyn has lovely views and is fine. Access can be difficult if you have a tall wide van- overhanging trees on lane. C and CC have a temporary holiday site at Whitegates, Caerwys. About 8 miles from Prestatyn but with lovely views over the Clwyd valley. Easy access and usually a very big field. There is a CS here as well but will probably be full.

Might have missed your deadline for this break, but you could look up Bron Derw in Llanwrst. We stayed there last summer and would highly recommend it. IT's actually three disticnt areas all served by own amenity blocks, a CC CL, a familes area and an adults only area. It's a lovely peasceful spot with spotless facilities and really well spaced pitches with great views and lots of on-site flower beds and borders. It's easily accessed form the town up a wide tarmac driveway. YOu can also see it in the Top 100 booklet.
Hope you enjoyed your break and the eye is healing well for you!

HI
Thanks to both for your replies.
We actually stayed at at Plas Onn Isa in the hills above Abergele. It is a Caravan Club CL and is a lovely sunny field looking out over a valley. It is a new CL and the owners have put a great deal of effort into planning it.

Owners John and Lyn are EXCEPTIONALLY good hosts. They invited us into their home for tea and cake when we arrived. On one of the nights of our stay the winds got up to 70+mph and, although we had done all we could, the the 'van was rocking so much that we decamped to the car for the night. When John and Lyn saw our lights on at 1.00am they phoned us to see if we were alright and then invited us to stay in their spare bedroom overnight and refused to take any payment for this.

I would highly recommend this site and we will certainly stay again if we are in the area.

Tim
