On another forum I have posted that my cars have had seeds from I think a tree land on them and stuck even when scratched off with the fingernail they leave behind a mark on the paint.It has been suggested that I use claybar has anybody used these and if so with what result.What is meant by detailing? What polish do you use after claying all info will be much appreciated and finally are they any use on the caravan.

I've used a clay bar on cars and the results are impressive - but rather than apply a second polish (abrasive) I used a wax to seal the surface followed by a surface guard.

You generally only need to clay the car once - it flattens the surface so that the paintwork is like a a mirror - and then the wax and sealant protects the surface.
