Cleaning an Omnivent

Could I please ask for some advice in how to dismantle in order to clean the inside 'grill' of the kitchen omnivent.

Does the trim containing the switch which raises the actual roof lite have to be removed first? And is this fixed to some type of lifting mechanism? Or is the release of this 'grill achieved by undoing the four screws which appear to hold the 'grill' in place and then 'jiggling' it out?

It appears just in looking at it difficult to take out and clean if the outside trim is not removed first instance but I am not sure what is conected to what and at the moment it works fine but is accumulating a layer of cooking gung.

I have looked at the installation of the fan in a recent issue of the Practical Caravan but still cannot work it out.

Many thanks for any advice on do's and do'nts. I would like to keep it working without breaking anything.

Bernard
