Hi there, as we are new to this - my husband asked if there was a good way of cleaning the roof lights as ours are looking a bit grubby. My answer was to get a ladder and clean them that way with a soft brush, but he is asking if there is a better, quicker/easier way of cleaning that the forum members may be willing to share? Many thanks. Lisa.

Hi Sammy, just looked at spec, says Heki rooflight, large rooflight ... does this help? Sorry to be a bit vague but we are newbies and on an extremely steep learning curve

Hi lisa
with a 2010 swift Challenger you will have as standard, large Hexi in lounge, med in bedroom area and small in kitchen area... in the bathroom you will have one of thoose push and tilt opaqe one. best way we have found to clean them is normal washing up liquid and water and buff up with a micro cloth to prevent scratching

Cleaning the clear part of the Heki is fairly eassy as has been described. However the frame is another matter as it has box like crevices all round. The side and back are possible using a stepladder inside the van, but the front is quite difficult, as when the roof is open there is insufficient gap between it and the frame to get any sort of cleaning tool in and reaching round the ends does not reach the centre.
The moulding could easily have been made smoot on the outer surface. Another example of a design not being tested in the field or by anyone with experience of actual caravanning.
I'm refering to an original Heki - perhaps the new ones are better in this respect ?
Any ideas on how to clean the frame at the front very welcome.
