Cleaning plastic windows

Hi! Can anybody recommend how best to clean caravan windows? We have a dog who's rather keen on looking out the windows and they're covered in nose marks! My mum suggested water and vinegar? Thanks.

That is a standard 'treatment' for glass windows. I would be careful on plastic as they are extremely delicate. It seems that almost anything will give scratches, that you may not even see, until the sun shines on them. Lots of water and a small amount of mild washing up liquid may be the best, but I am no expert on these. All I know is that even caravan shampoo can cause scratches on the outside as quick as look. They can be removed with polish, but it is hard.

I can certainly vouch for the delicate nature of caravan front windows after using a very very soft wet sponge in an effort to remove some dead flies from them. I never have had a problem with my previous (modern) caravan windows despite some vigorous cleaning activity, but the centre window is now quite badly scratched. I have bought some Fenwicks window-wise and I'm hoping to tackle the job this weekend. Be warned , go easy on your windows !!
