Cleaning waste pipes.

Hi.Im sure ive seen the answer here somewhere but i cant find it.

Any suggestions please for cleaning the waste pipes on caravan ready for the winter lay up.

Many thanks.

use a weak warm bleach mix down pipes and you can shut outlets to hold the mix for a time slowly drains down .

make sure you shut outlets for winter you dont want any pest up your pipes

The boss puts a handful of soda in the sinks etc and trickles some warm water slowly onto it; then when its nearly gone just leaves it till we use the van again.

Our water used to drain slowly. I put clingfilm over the ends of the drain pipes and shut their 'lids' Put soda crystals down all the plug holes and followed that with a kettle full of boiling water and left it for 20 minutes or so. I couldn't believe the gunk that came out when i took the clingfilm off.....make sure you wear rubber gloves.

hello adrian

i planned on using milton sterilising fluid, just blank of the ends of the pipes and fill er up, even thinking of cleaning the toilet header tank with same, anyone else used this method?
