I spent my child hud at this site and even worked their when i left school it is a very good site with good facilities.most of the park is for static vans and the touring site is quite small so book well in advance .it is only a 10 min walk to the harbor and the town center and the surrounding area offers lots of interesting things to see and do.

We spent a week there 1 or was it 2 years ago. The touring part apears to be an old paddock and is mostly grass. The approach road is very narrow with passing places. The toilet block is a temporary sort of unit but kept to the clean and servicable standard of the CC. It's a sort walk into Canarfon across a bridge nr the Harbour and also a short walk down through the fields to the Menai Strait's. There is a bar on the static site but we didn't vist this as the walk into Carnarfon was nice and there are plenty of bars etc. There is a large Morrisons supermarket just on the outskirts, you can't miss it if approaching from the north, and again not too far to walk to if you only require an odd Item. The site dosn't have a dog walk as such, you have to use the lanes or a small wooded area which has some steep paths and can be slippy when wet. This site is a managed site, so I can see why the CC dosn't put too much money into it for upgrades etc.All in all, it's an Ideal location for Snowdonia and the coastal area. Would I go again, yes, but I would want dry-ish weather because I don't like grass in the wet.

Don't forget the narrow road so don't get there before 12, I wouldn't like to meet another unit on the approach.
