Come to the Cotswolds

Just thought I would let you know about the CL at Chedworth, near Cirencester, at Denfurlong Farm which now has the addition of a great newly opened farm shop. The shop has fresh bread daily and lots of stores plus veg and fruit. Also frozen fruit and veg which you serve youself so you get the right amount to suit you. Good meat (butcher is there on Tuesdays and Thursday, I think.) Good dairy counter (lovely cheeses). and much much more!!. Also there is a coffee shop and lovely ice creams.

The CL is quiet and sheltered and the village is great for walking with miles of footpaths. Cirencester is only 8 miles away and as you are more or less in the centre of the Cotswolds lots to do.

Just needed to sing the praises of the Farm Shop which is the only shop in the village. We havn't had a shop since the Post Office closed about ten years ago and that didn't sell anything other than stamps etc. Best thing that has happened in the village for years!

Hello Mike

We regularly spend time at the CC site in Cirencester and have been considering trying (for the first time!) a CL. What sort of amenities do your recommended site have?

.... most importantly for me does it have electric hook up :O) if so its close enough to me for a weekend.
have you ever been to the cc broadway site?.we have had a look around and its really nice all hard standing.just a short walk away from the pretty village of broadway.we have booked to go there for a weekend in may as its only an hour from coventry.

Hi Lord B

Sorry no electric hook up. I had to look it up as we live about half a mile away and we haven't stayed there oddly enough. Nice site though.

In fact the site has next to nothing as far as facilities go, very basic. I guess there must be water and there is a loo in the shop, but that seems to be it. One for those who really want to get away from it all.

My wife (joanne) and myself stayed there in mid january. Great site with loverly people running it. the toilet block was realy clean and the water very hot.

Great food in the village but limited shops around so pick up what you need on the way to the site or take a trip into Evesham
