On my last trip I took my computer with me, no note my laptop.
It has a 19inch screen, keyboard, mouse but no desktop box as all the works are in the screen like the hard drive.
Now when we arived I screw the tv to the wall bracket but were do I put my computer.
In the end I put it on the small dresser at the front of the van and at night packed it away and slid it under the bed (bedroom at other end).
It was okay doing this but felt not right as it was a bit to close to the wifes tv.
The awning would be to cold in the evening and the bedroom is a bit small with the dog as well.
I think there is no easy answer to were to site my computer so will just have to lump it.

Reg. I am confused. Why is it a problem being close to the wife's tv? If you need sound could you use headphones? Do you have a lap top?

I think the confushion is that I have at home my own computer room and can shut my self away or if I am close to the tv I may end up watching Eastenders.
I do have a laptop but as my desktop like machine is so easy to set up I left the laptop at home.
I was thinking of a swinging bracket to fix the screen to and a wirless keyboard/mouse but may have to hunt around for this.
The better weather is on its way so may end up in the awning.
Thanks for you comments Reg

dont keep it in the awning, it will get warm during the day and cold at night, as we all know, electrickery thigs dont like condensation. There is a good chance the magic smoke would start to escape from some of the mother board components, and we all know about magic smoke.

I take either a laptop or more if its just for email and the internet i take a small netbook runniing linux, take 5 secs to boot up , it fits in the wifes hand bag and it goes anywhere.

you could always leave both the TV and computer at home and have even more space! The scrabble box could live in a cupboard and only get it out when you are playing it.

We take a laptop, it's light , transportable and in use sits on the chest of drawers, not interfering with tv.
When I worked I took the company's Blackberry away.Big mistake , I was for ever being pestered with work things whilst away Grrr

When I saw this post, I assumed it was an April Fool joke. Since it appears not, then all I would say is that standard PCs are not designed to be portable and you risk damage to the unit if it is not transported in appropriate packaging. Just get a decent laptop with a large screen.

Thanks for all the comments, I do have a laptop and will take that next time as is a lot smaller.
Dusty Dog mentioned a I pad, was tempted but no.
John_miller good advise there.
The laptop just sits on my desk collecting dust so will bring it out of moth balls.
Some one mentioned Linux, what is that and is it any good?

Linux is an operating system which is used instead of Windows. Your laptop will almost certainly be preloaded with some flavour of Windows (XP?) which should be perfectly adequate for the kind of use you seem to want. Linux does not carry all the bells and whistles associated with Windows and is not so susceptible to infections from viruses, trojans, etc. However, if you're not very technically minded, you might find it easier to stick with Windows and decent anti-virus software.
