Just received new boards for my bailey pageant all ready to install--- but no instructions-----there are no pre-drilled holes --the support batons are glued on to the back of the boards, so I presume I use a adhesive to fix the boards to the wall?

Rob yes, just use a contact adhesive to fit the boards. You do not want to put screws through the vinyl wall covering as it will only create an entry point for moisture, and lead to the inevitable damp problems.

Apart from that, as the inner ply walls are only 3mm and behind that is polystyrene, there would not be much holding power there.

Sorry to disagree with Damien but the boards I received were drilled and I fixed them with woodscrews just long enough to go through the board and batten and into the wallboard.

I can't see how this could cause damp problems unless you use screws long enough to penetrate the outer skin

Bailey certainly use screws.

But if contact adhesive works then do it that way.

I would have thought that it would be messy

Intersting john----the boards I received have no holes, so i assumed they were fixed with adhesive, however I contacted bailey who are going to send me a diagram and SCREWS to fit the boards with ----looks like i will be drilling the holes!!
