Connecting Gas BBQ to Van

If the BBQ point was fitted to to your van as new there should be a small brass connector approx 2 inches long in the accesory pack that came with the van. Connect this to one end of a piece of rubber gas pipe (available from any dealer) and the other end to the inlet connector on the Cadac. Use jubille clipe to secure fittings. The brass connector then push fits into the BBQ point and is locked in place by a collar on the BBQ point, as it is pushed home. The valve is released by pushing back the collar. If you dont have the brass connector I should think that a local dealer should be able to get you one.

There is a recomendation that you use no more than 1 metre of pipe between the van and the cadac but I use approx 2 meters to get it further away from the front of the van and the awning. If you have kids just make sure they cannot trip over it and cause the BBQ to tip over.

i hope this helps

Hi paul

Alan again, the connector may already be pushed into the BBQ point and just needs releasing, push back the brass ring to release.

Just a thought !!!
