Connection to the house?

Just got our first caravan just something cheap to see if we like it before spending thousands. (Swift Rapide 12/4 1988)

Anyway my question:

We have hooked up to the house mains and was wondering how long it is ok to stay connected. We do use the caravan daily just for a bit of quite time (not much power used if any) and are not intending to take her out for a few weeks at least.

Any advice welcome

Richard

Hi nice van always my favourite at the time.

I leave my van 'plugged in' all the time without problems but then I have only been doing it for over thirty years lol

I have a cable set up on a permanent basis just for this purpose, the power goes from the house to the shed and then from the shed power supply to the caravan, i have got a box attached to the garden wall so the cable can be unplugged when the caravan goes away. It's handy having the power to the caravan especially if you use it for storage too.
