I was in Sainsbury at 0700. It was like Tobit wars with the Click and Collect mega trolleys. But nice and cool in the chiller aisles and I topped up the spring greens and French beans for rabbits and the occasional purchase for me.An hour at Tesco Cirencester π§π§π§πππ
Unless we get climate change cracked you will have unbearable hordes of touristsβ¦β¦.profits to make a Scotsman weep tears of joy.Heat wave here on Skye... 17degC. Not sure how we'll cope.

I gather some say that the heat is not liked by wee midgie. A benefit of climate change?
I heard that there were some people in Scotland who were serously thinking of turning their heating down............Since my previous post the temperature has soared to 19degC. Whew!
So far the first flush of midgies never appeared. Second flush may have second thoughts hopefully. Too hot and we often have a breeze which keeps them from flying.
If you consider venturing this far, the CAMC site at Morvich is in the heart of midge country. Worst spot we found though was around Kinlochleven. Have you ever tried to eat a picnic with a midge hood on?
Today its been pleasant and we've worked in the garden. Cloudy but warm on our backs and the breeze keeping things fresh.

That's actually true. Many of our friends and neighbours have been having fires or keeping the heating on. Summer doesn't seem to have started here yet.I heard that there were some people in Scotland who were serously thinking of turning their heating down............
Tropical plantsπ€ͺπ€ͺVisited a local Dobbies, could not believe it, they had the ventilation system lowing hot air!
I was there visiting my father ( 95 then) and the weather then was scorching and that was mid June 2018. In the end we took the caravan up and pitched just outside of Barrow on Soar and planned our visiting from there. The coolest place today definitely wasn't Glenfield hospital.
An hour cardiac test with walking between two cones and trying to keep up with the ever faster pace set by the beep test.
As Guy Martin would say, "I was blowing out my a**e"
