Cost of a service for a Bailey 460/4 first service from new.

So I have some idea of how much I will have to pay for a first service on my caravan and do not get ripped off. Could you give me some idea wait you have payed in the past for servicing. The agent I purchased the van from has quoted around £200 pounds? is this good or bad?

Stephen you could save money if you have a local Mobile Caravan engineer who is accredited to service and fix warranty repairs on your caravan. They are accredited by the N.C.C. and CORGI.

Hi - we have a Bailey Ranger 470/4 and it is due its first service in Feb this year - I have booked it in with Bardsea leisure in Cumbria and the cost is

Just to clear a point up, already made, CORGI do not provide any accreditation whatsoever.

They are simply the registration body who administer the scheme.

The only Caravan Approved Workshop and Approved Mobile Workshop scheme is accredited by the NCC, the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club, and is administered by Jones Vening.

It is NOT a prerequisite for service engineers to be CORGI registered to work on Privately owned caravan and motorcaravans.

It IS a requirement if they work on Static vans or caravans which are hired out as part of a business.

To become part of the Approved Workshop scheme however, engineers MUST have accreditation either by the old ACOPS scheme, or the new European Registration Scheme, which is under the auspices of the UK Accreditation Scheme as well as having passed the C&G in Caravan engineering exams.

Something worth checking when comparing prices is what's included.

I received what looked like a good quote but on checking I found that the Damp check was extra making any difference irrelevant.

On my twin Axle Louisiana I was quoted
