Hello all.

I've got a 99 Fleetwood and managed to put a 6 inch crack in the front of it starting at the locker.

I would like to put something behind the crack to strengthen it but am not sure what to use. Could I glue some plastic on using contact adhesive?

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Many thanks

bad luck... firstly drill a very small hole at the extreme end of the crack to stop it spreading any further.then use a fiberglass repair kit from a motor factors (the one with matting and resin).

make sure the inside is clean and dry and paint a layer of resin on the inside then cut a piece of matting to fit over the damaged area and stipple it in place with more resin, roll the air from under the matting and let it go off a bit and layer up a patch over the first layer, about 3 layers should do the job... if you have to fill the crack on the outside ,carefully groove the crack with a triangular file or similar and fill with isopon or some other car body filler.(use the elastic one not the rigid)DON'T use too much hardener.....this of course is assuming the panel is fiberglass.....Good luck...cant help if it's ABS as i've never worked with it
