Crank up satellite dish

Has anyone put a cranck up dish on their caravan? I did have one on my motorhome and am thinking about putting one on the caravan , but have you come across any problems with one on a caravan?

Thanks

Hi Keith

I have a crank up dish on my van. Works well though does have a tendency to catch in winds above approx 30mph and can be blown out of allignment. We tend to take it down on those occasions.

I think these days a better choice, if funds allow, are the self tracking domes.

I have one which has replaced the crank up ariel, works a treat and can set it up from inside. Had it up in gale force winds no problem, but it might be wise to lower it if you think your van roof is not strong enough.
