Credit crunch - Mortgage

Hi all,

Weve just been in the lengthy process of switching mortgage.

We could have stayed where we were at the same rate but tied in for 3 years, but we got the same rate not tied in.

That ws just to fill you in!!

Problem is our existing (can't name them) lender has decided to up our redemption by over a thousand pounds. After four months of trying to sort it out nothing.

So the battle is on I have one email address ot the mortgages and savings director and 3 names from the chairman down, but cant get their email address of the company.

Anyone how to do this??

Before you say charges there are none and that's in black and white.

No wonder people are hard up,

There should be a facility on their "contact us" part of their website but no doubt you have already looked there. Have you tried referring this to the Financial Ombudsman?

Hi Smiley

a little confused as to what email address you need. But you will probably not get the Chairmans etc direct email address but a generic one that goes to either their PA or Customer Care department.

You could try the Company House's website they should list certain contact details for any registered company. And as said the ombudsman as well. I've gone that route in the past and they were very supportive and made sure the given company acted / responded correctly.

Why not name and shame them if the facts are correct - you cannot be sued for libel/slander if the facts quoted are correct - you are just stating the truth.

I had this problem trying to contact the chairman of a D.I.Y. chain. I put the name of the store followed by 'complaints' into Google and it came up with reams of information including home addresses.
