Hi - I am not new to camping, but I have always gone with my family. I am planning to go on my own this summer, with my boyfriend. We want to go to Croatia - does anyone know how long it would take to get there? We were thinking of the north of the country? What about ferries from Italy? Any advice would be great. Thanks
 
If you're intending to stay in the north (in the Istrian peninsula, for example) there are no ferries to catch from Italy. You just drive around the coast from, say, Venice via Trieste.
 
Have a look on the Camping Cheque website - there are several sites in Croatia (look lovely)- and loads in Italy. If you're going in July/early August you won't be able to use Camping Cheques but outside this period you would. However, it's a good site just to have a look at available campsites. http://www.campingcheque.co.uk/en/
