Cyclonefuelsaver

Hi

Reading the caravn magazine, there's an advertisement on page 38 called a cyclonefuelsaver,it's design is to save car fuel, has anyone had any experience with this object and is it any good.

I would like to read any comments please .

Richard,

The car manufacturers already design the intake manifold, for both petrol and diesel engines, to create a smooth, rotating airflow into the cylinders. So is there any benefit to adding something to make the air "spin" when it's already spinning? I can't see it making any difference.

Likewise those magnets that you clamp around the fuel line, and apparently "influence" the fuel. Both petrol and diesel are non-magentic at 100 x the field strength that a simple bar magnet can generate.

Want to save money? Make sure your car is well serviced and tuned, use a fully synthetic oil in the engine - this reduces friction and will save you money, make sure the tyres are at the right pressure, and drive without rapid acceleration or braking.

Regards, Robert

Thanks Lol,

Many of these devices have a whisper of science or engineering about them, but if you don't know what's already engineered into the product then you can spend money for little or no gain.
