Daft question - help needed for newbie

This may seem a daft question, but I can't work out were the safe place is to place a scissor or bottle jack.

We have a brand new Abbey Vogue and are off to the Lake District in a week's time. I've been trying to get to grips with everything before we go. I've been going through the caravan's manual and associated literature and can not work out where to place the jack (should I need to change a wheel). It says in the Alko literature that there are two holes in the chassis behind the wheel for their own side lifting jack. No problem, I can see them.

However it also says that as an alternative you can use a scissor jack or a bottle jack on the re-enforced axle plate. Well I'm blowed if I can find anything that remotely resembles a re-enforced plate!!. There is a sort of triangular plate near the axle which seems to join two pieces of the chassis together. My worry is that it says in big letters "do not jack up on the chassis". All well and good if you can differentiate between the normal chassis and this so called re-enforced plate. Any help most welcome.

As far as I am aware not all Al-ko chassis come with the optional jacking point strengtheners. Mine did because it was supplied with an Al-ko scissor jack that was as useless as a chocolate teapot.

As your van is so new and you don't want any mishaps why not give your dealer a quick ring. Better safe than sorry.

If you use the Alko side lift then the holes ae pre drilled,for a bottle or trolley use the plate on the axle behind the wheel.For me use Alko that way you will not have a problem
