Spent two weeks there last September. An excellent chippy comes to site twice a week. All freshly cooked to order . Excellent . Numerous take aways also deliver, good quality food.

Site itself is well organised and spacious. We were close to a service point and facing south east for the sky signal. Dog walk is average but big enough to walk and throw the ball.

Services are first class. Wardens dedicated and very helpful. Papers can be ordered.

The surrounding area has loads to offer, two weeks wasn't enough, we're going back next year.

I can vouch that there is plenty to do in the area but have not stayed at Daleacres
........I cycled past last October as I was staying on a site nearby and it looked good to me. The site is situated on Romney Marsh which is a fascinating place.......you would in fact be pitched out at sea back in the time of the Romans. You can look inland over a flat landscape( once the sea) at the old sea cliffs!
There are good walks and cycling nearby along the old Military Canal........a canal to nowhere that was built as a military defence and it was obsolete on the day it was finished!
There is the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch narrow gauge railway that takes you down to Dungeness....a quaint unique place that just happens to have a Nuclear power station plonked there!
Loads more to do as Dustydog says.

I took this photo whilst cycling along the Military Canal last October......... believe it or not.......

Many thanks Dustydog and Gafferbill. It's good to know that the site is ok and thanks for all the extra info you've given about the site as well.

Yes, I agree with the positive comments made about Daleacres, a lovely flat, well kept site with good access. Our family, ( we have a disabled son and disabled daughter), usually spend a couple of weeks there each summer and we are looked after very well by the warden and the team. You have really good access to a number of seaside resorts.
The only downside is that there is no bus service to the gates but other than that a brilliant site, you can sometimes hear the animals roaring from the zoo which is at the top of the hill.
We only live just over an hour away but still enjoy gaining there.
