Hi there

We went to Daleacres first outing this year. The site is about 5 miles from Hythe East Kent. 125 pitches toilet block showers.

The site is very well keeped every thing s fresh and clean. The family that run the site do a very very good Job.

No ball games are allowed on site exept in the very large play area and children are and should be supervised by an adult at all times. This is stated in the rules given to you on entry.

Sorry but here is the rant One family let children kick foot balls into peoples caravans damaging the front panel of a new Bailey.

Also the children were let loose on the site from 8.30am till late at night not supervised in any form. Also riding there bikes in and out of traffic coming in and out of the site .How there was not a tragedy God only knows. The warden John had problems with someone putting toilet rolles down the toilets and putting the plugs in sinks and turning on the taps. We all know who was doing it but you connot say any thing without proof.

I bet the warden was so glad to see the back of this family.

I am sorry to say this is a Members only site?????????????

Stephen,

Please don't be sorry to rant! Here's mine, i have been the victim of this type of low life criminal behavoir, I make no appologies if that comment upsets anyone but that's exactly what it is, while on the Caravan Clubs site @ Woolacombe Devon, our front locker panel of our then brand new Bailey was smashed by two kind lads from the van opposite, they were old enough to know better but they placed two chairs in front of our van for goal posts while their parents sat and watched like football spectators, yes it was unbelievable @ it was a heavy leather ball, yes i confronted the Father who shrugged his shoulders smiled @ commented that my insurance would cover it, yes it did but it still cost me money @ worse inconvenience, yes we should have spoken up to the Warden but not wanting to cause a fuss, silly us! we packed up with Holiday ruined and headed for home. Then @ Burford Club site a couple of Years later the parents @ kids of the van next to us were playing footie across the empty inbetween pitch, to our disbelief using my new car as their goal, the inevitable happened the ball wacked the door of my car, luckily no damage, but no appolgy from kids or parents who starred at me while checking car as if I was in the wrong. Then last year @ Rooksbury park, even though as you rightly say, it clearly stated on these Sites info leaflets @ toilet blocks NO BALL GAMES and and both having a dedicated playfield there were still families playing footie between peoples caravans while the wardens went about there work not lifting an eyebrow. I was so happy when the Club introduced this NO BALL GAME policy on it's sites, but unfortunatly now it seems like so many of its rules, they mean nothing, I regretably think the Wardens have been told by the Club to tread with caution and do not really want to impose these rules or confront the culprits unless someone complains, indeed i have a letter from the Club after my Devon incident saying that if you see or experience this type of behavior then the Warden is the first person to approach, it annoys me that these people think it their right to break rules cause potential/damage and get away with it, we have never complained before or wanted to spoil anyones fun or Holiday but it seems that there are Member caravaners out there who are quite happy to spoil our's, I like to see kids enjoy themselves but not at my expence thank you!!! I am not a bore or Victor Meldrew just someone who was always brought up to RESPECT other people @ their property, If the rules say NO BALL GAMES then thats what it means, if there is not a playfield on site then parents should take their kids out to a park to entertain them as I do with mine or choose a site with a playfield @ use it, not impose them @ their ball games or nuisence on other caravaners.

The moral of my moan if you see this behavoir you must complain bitterly to the Wardens, then Club, its about time the Club was made to uphold the rules they make @ for them to stop worring about upsetting those culprits intent on breaking them.

Thank you Michael

One of the reasons for joining the caravan club was that that had rules and inforced them.

People are spending between 10k to 50k on caravans and motorhomes nowdays you do not need this grief.

If you claim on insurance its a no claim not a no blame so you pay in the long run.
