Damp in 2006 Ace Award

A short (6inch) length of the inner roof corner, underneath joint between roof panel and rear moulded panel has shown a 50% damp reading. As all servicing is up to date, I reported this to my dealer, who has agreed to file a warranty claim with Swift. I believe that this has been approved, and parts ordered, but still not available at the dealer. I have been told that actual repair time should be 1 week max.
I originally reported the problem over 8 weeks ago, thinking that simply little opening of the joint, drying and re-sealing would solve the problem very quickly. I cannot understand, or get a reasonable explanation from my dealer, but am totally dismayed by the delay.
Am I being unrealistic? Do simple (to me) issues like this take weeks and months to resolve? Had a warranty issue with a previous Coachman, which included a new rear moulded panel and return to the factory, but this was carried out much quicker than this. I wonder if the problem is with Swift ( lack of spares, speed of handling warranty claim) or the dealer, or is this generally accepted as OK? Cannot image these sort of time scales with a simple car repair!
Any suggestions of how I could speed matters along ?
Paul
