Just found a small patch of damp in my Bailey Pageant Toilet. Is it worth investing in a dehumidifier or are there any other methods to dry out this damp before it gets worse?

A dehumidifier is not going to cure the problem. You urgently need to establish the cause before it gets worse. You mention that the damp is in the toilet so maybe it's not damp getting in from the outside, but a leaky water hose connection or a damaged seal. Without getting to grips with the root cause, the problem will always re-occur.

i have to agree with lutz. a dehumidifier will do nothing to help water ingress because the wall has a vinyl covering which will not allow water to pass through. it will however, if used right, take out any condensation. if by damp you do mean water ingress, then the leak needs to be cured first.

I was experiencing water inside my closett box and water on the floor at the base of the toilet, The wife kept on blameing me for some reason.

I had the caravan serviced last week, and they found that one of the plastic outlets from the pump was cracked allowing water to be pumped out on to the floor of the closett area finding its way into the caravan via the base toilet. New pump fitted problen solved.

This issue was reported to the dealer but because the van was new at the time the cause was overlooked.

My caravan is a Limousin used over a period of ten days from new.

My suggestion would be to have your van checked over to establish cause.

Good Luck.
