Just drove past our local dealer and he has a sign outside to say the shop is open. It was closed last week'
I wonder what essential items are they selling to allow them open?

My van is booked in for the annual service next week, I will ring to check but I assume this will go ahead especially as it was moved from October already. So perhaps if it is permitted to open for servicing it is also open for bits and bobs.

Mine is due at the end of November and the workshop will be open as they are still aligned with government instructions IE work from home if you can. But

People use Calor Gas for domestic purposes and business so may be they can say it is for them. The alternative is buy in some sweets, tinned food and biscuits and call it a food shop!

True but it would be foolish to pay the high price for a 6 kg cylinder when it would be cheaper to buy elsewhere. I don't think selling sweets, tinned food etc will be econiomical for the caravan shop. LOL! :D

My van was booked in for next Monday for warranty work. The dealer called us when lockdown was announced, and told us the appointment was cancelled, and rearranged for January...

It was a bit tongue in cheek regarding the food bit and I agree the 6 kg cylinders would not be economical for most gas users, but it probably is a way round the rules.

Sometimes I am a bit slow on the uptake but this time I did realise that it was tongue in cheek hence my smiley. LOL! :D

So not all dealerships are open - I have been told that my service will be rebooked again for after 3rd December. It doesn't get used much after autumn anyway so I can wait and see what transpires.
