A friend has a Dethleffs 'van (about 2004) with a 3 burner hob. The gas lights but won't stay alight even after holding the knob in for some time. It's the same for all three burners. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I imagine there must be some sort of thermocouple but is it just one for all three burners?

It may have switch in the glass lid hinges area to shut off gas when closed. They can sometimes stick.
Yes, but would the gas light in the first place if this was the case?
