We're off in August with our caravan to Devon for the first time.We are looking to take our tourer to a site between Dawlish and Torquay but don't want swimming pools/clubs on site/all singing and dancing £20+ a night sites. Can anyone recommend a good clean basic and fairly quiet site with decent toilet facilities.(A sea view would be great! but close to the coast is fine)

Feel it's about time we invested in a good tourer caravan site book. Any recommendations for that too?

You were right big roy! found some sites on the net, got them down to 10 we fancied and 7 wer fully booked. However, one of the top one's we fancied had free space for us, near Brixham, but we have to arrive a day later than planned. Never mind, we are happy to be going to devon. Cheers roy

Hi Val, by far the best i think is Ross Park. Suberb site, but i think it will be booked by now. The web site is ; www.rossparkcaravanpark.co.uk.

Just a note, I have booked at Polmanter Caravan/Camping Park near St.Ives in Cornwall for next year (2007) and this is 50% full for the july/august period already.
