Digital Aerial

Hello all, I am considering chaging the aerial on my 2004 Bailey to a digital one. Any help on best one and how to fit it, any advice appreciated, thanks Kim.

I fitted a Status 530/5 directional aerial to replace the 315 omni on our Eccles Onyx. We had been using an Image aerial on a pole attached to the JW. Easy to fit using a blanking plate and drilling a 45mm hole through the roof. The roof in this area already has a strengthening block fitted (thanks to Swift Leisure for the tech drawings) the only snag being that, as the roof is double thickness due to the TV cupboard, the aerial clamp only just fits.

This allows us to set up the aerial without getting wet and provides an excellent signal via a digi-box. Much more expensive than an external aerial (O'Leary M/Homes sell them for around

Being pedantic, there is no such thing as a "digital" aerial. An aerial will pick up whatever signals it can "see", it does'nt know the modulation system the signal is carrying. It just receives it & sends it down the cable. However, for convenience the makers often advertise wideband ones thesedays as "digital"; the marketing departments also see this as a good ploy, as we have all been conditioned to think the anything digital is better than analogue!
