Disneyland Paris

Hi where hoping to go to disneyland in August seen a site in the area we quite like but any recommendations would be great, also thinking for the second/third weeks going down into the loire any recommendation there also would be great we have only previously done brittany Many thanks Tracy ~

Just find a site near a train station and take the train to Disneyland or Paris. It's quite cheap and far easier than driving and parking.

We've stopped here - http://www.campingchantepie.com/en/#

at Saumur when we our kids were younger amd its a good site with a good view from above the Loire and gets a nice breeze when it's hot. Pretty good position for exploring the Loire valley or visit - http://www.cadrenoir.fr/siteene/GB_SITE/gb_home.html

The road below the site in the valley to Saumur has Mushroom caves and there are the sparkling (Method Champenoise) wine houses in Saumur if you like your wine with bubbles.

Its only about 100KM to Poitier and - http://www.futuroscope.com/eng/index.php

Futuroscope is better than Disney to many kids and my wife and I have been their numerous times and enjoy it every time.

But its a long day and with late arrival back at the camp as you MUST NOT miss the late evening show on the lake!

I can strongly recommend Camping International at Jablines. It is a very clean, well organised site within a very large leisure complex with all sorts of sports facilities, lakes and beaches. A regular bus service (I think about every twenty minutes) runs from the gate of the complex directly to the railway station at Disneyland, a distance of 9 km. It takes about 20 minutes and only costs a few euros each way.
