I booked Kingsbury Water Park for later this month and was told the price for a Friday & Saturday night for a 'member family booking' would be £49.00. Thought it was a bit steep for this late in the year so I checked their prices on the web site. It said £21.00 per night. I called the site and asked if they had made a mistake in charging me £49.00 they said no it's £21.00 per night plus EHU at £3.50 per night!! I may be wrong but I can't recall being charged seperately before can you?

Mainstram club sites charge £3.50 per night for what they call a Club Service Pitch.
Which is why I never use them!

Yes, they may be cheaper but there is no comparison with the CC regarding cleanliness, toilets etc. You pays your money and take your choice.

We are in both and the sites we use are of equal quality---so far
Certainly the loos at Kingsbury are up to scratch
C &CC have pitches without electric because they cater for tents as well and so are likely to have the demand for non electric pitches
I made that mistake at Kingsbury but luckily they had an electric pitch available
You get used to CC sites being electric

Have you visited every CC and C&CC site to make such a comparison or is this purely an assumption on your part?
Do you have any data to substantiate that statement?

Granted I have not found a dirty C&CC toilet, some that I have visited are cold & tired so in urgent need of refurbishment. On the other side of the coin, the refurbished ones at Teversal & Polstead are easily the standard of CC facilities with more character too.

So, your original statement was not totally correct....by some margin

Haven't done the sums, but in our case
C & CC have Adult x 2, Child x 1 and CSP @ £3.50.
CC have Adult x 2, Child x 1, and Pitch @ varies..
Not sure that it makes all that much difference............
