Do you grease your towball??

I have no stabiliser fitted, and the hitch just clunks over the ball and locks. In the past I have always applied a dollop of graphite grease or vaseline on the towball from time to time - mostly when towing car trailers and small box trailers (not that that should make any difference!)

So, do I, ahem, grease my ball or not?

yes. if you tow without a alko hitch even if you tow the the blade type, grease the ball only alko type hitches require a clean dry ball

if you change to a alko type later you have to change the ball for the alko type anyway as they are a different size and stand out further from the bar
