My brother does, (or it might be the Tucson). I have not spoken a lot to him about it but I know he was impressed and he has previously towed with a diesel Sante Fe.

He pull 1500kg around Spain last year.

I do. Great tug. Mine's a 23 GTLS 2WD full hybrid (don't touch the mild hybrid) which tows our 1600kg Cabrera brilliantly. The car limit is 1650kg. Beware with the Sportage though because the towing limit is now down (as I recall) to 1300kg, so we wouldn't be able to have a new one.

The great thing about the self charging hybrid is the way improved fuel consumption especially in town or slow traffic when running solo. Normal winter average consumption for me is 46mpg, with summer being 53-54. The difference is due to the ICE requiring to run to provide heat in the winter. Lovely car all round, very comfortable, loads of equipment, can't recommend highly enough
