My dentist used 3D printing for crowns. Had one over 12 months ago and no problems. Another booked in for mid July. Only a single 1.5 hour slot, but you can go for a walk whilst it’s being “printed”.Probably great for replacing bits and bobs around the caravan. I had the same about 6 months ago. It was even colour matched to my existing teeth. You really can't tell which one is the fake tooth. My dentist used 3D printing for crowns. Some youngsters (under 30) will often do small jobs with their 3D printers. At Bath University there was a group that did such work. It helped their finances and also extended their experience in using 3D printers. Perhaps something like that operates out of one of the Scottish universities or colleges, or schools.I'd like to get one because I'm a nerd who likes to know about these things. Not only that, often a small plastic piece on a product breaks and you can't buy just that spare bit and instead have to buy the whole item. So the thought of being able to make my own is appealing.
However, my pocket money only goes so far and other interests get in the way.
