Does it have the "Edge"

Anyone have any opinions, write ups, reviews or experiences of the Ford Edge?

I'm happy with my Kuga at the moment, to be fair, but I do like the look of them (especially the [stupidly priced] Vignale).

Hi and thanks for posting.

We've got a Ford Edge tow car test coming up in the May 2017 issue of Practical Caravan, on sale 23 March, if you can wait until then?

Hi sterlingwhiterose I to have a kuga love it to bits but was very very tempered to swap for an edge because of the size and space inside but then realised that it had the same power train as the kuga 180bhp so would be even slower then the kuga. Their is a 210bhp version but don't think the price is worth it and that's with the staff discount 🙂

HI i bought an Edge last December but first towed with it last week. I've got the 210ps with the power shift gearbox and have been very pleased with it. I chopped in a Honda Cr-v (I'd previously had 3 others) and find the Edge far more comfortable, quieter but a little thirstier.
I't still only got a little over 3k on the clock so I'm confident this will improve a little but currently I'm averaging 38mpg to and fro work, 42mpg on a solo run involving some motorway and towing between 50 & 60mph (50 through rather extensive roadworks) it averaged 25mpg.
Definitely more stable than the Cr-v (which was pretty good anyway) when towing but haven't had reason to see if the 4 wheel drive can get me off a soggy uphill grass pitch, which the Cr-v did, but as the drive train is so similar to the Kuga and they cope well I'm sure it will be adequate.
Initially it seemed to have a significantly bigger presence on the road but I think that's a bit of an optical illusion caused by a higher bonnet line as it has seemed to shrink a bit as I've got more used to it.
