We were contacted to ask if we'd allow a couple of photo's to be used on a promotional video for the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

The link is attached. It's had nearly 100,000 views. Diesel and my daughter are still photo four (blonde girl and dog in party hat).

There's another photo of Diesel when he was four months old but that's in the middle of the vid somewhere.

More bad publicity locally Lisa :O(

A lady heard a screaming in her garden and went outside to see 2 SBTs, one with her 14 year old cats front in its mouth and the other had hold of its back legs. The lady tried to scare the dogs off but they only stopped when the cat stopped squealing. The cat sadly was dead. They were both seen later that day covered in blood. A neighbour of this lady, one hour later, found her 4 year old cat mauled to death in her garden. The police say both SBTs were wearing collars.

The Editorial does defend the dogs and blames the owners.

Thanks for that LB.

I can only speak for my dogs, both are well socialised with small animals including some prey animals. (Daisy is a rescue dog and is extremely dog aggressive which led me to study canine psychology). I honestly believe that she had had a kill (either small dog or cat) prior to living with us due to her behaviour when she came to live with us. She is fine with cats but will never accept other dogs apart from her own pack which consists of her and Diesel and she is alpha.

Terriers are terriers at the end of the day. However, I do feel very sorry for the cats and their owners.

Incidentially, there was a piece on my local news this morning where two SBT's had saved their owners life by allerting him to a fire in his property. (I think that is correct as I didn't hear all the story). The dogs are due to receive an award from the PDSA.

LOL Steve!!!

However, if it is found that the dogs are arsonists and they live in Notts, I could utilise my canine psychology skills along with the counselling skills I have used when working with young people convicted of arson. So, either way, they're in a win win situation!!!!

Frank, the last I've heard is the police are still onto it. They have a good description of the dogs, one brown and the other white/cream and both wearing collars. They were spotted later in the day covered in blood in the same area as the attacks. With the widespread publicity and radio coverage surely someone would know who they belonged to.

I've just found the link ............

Thanks for the link L B seems someone will know, these dogs appear to be just running wild. What would worry me if I lived in the area, is this it?? or once they have a taste for it will it happen again??
