Just booked the ferry for the European Classic caravan rally in May. Good deal on Norfolk Line through the Caravan Club at £58.00 return. Then came the sting at the end.......dogs are now charged at £30.00 each! As we have two, that came as quite a shock. It still works out much cheaper to book through the CC, though, as the fare direct from Norfolk Line is £170.00 return, plus £60.00 for the dogs. Also, if you're planning a crossing, don't wait too long to book. Lots of the crossings are full already.

I never joke about money!! Its all true. The fee used to be twenty pounds per dog, and was increased this year. How it can cost more to take two dogs across the channel than it does to take a car and caravan, I cannot understand. They say it's to pay for the checks the dog must have at the port, but these checks take around five minutes. Nice work if you can get it!
