using Warfarin,

I would agree on reflection that remark was over the top. I had come in that day with dog ***t over the wheels of the pushchair, and my grandaughter had it on her shoes. I stand by any of my other remarks.

Whatever the topic on dogs is about Gary 99.99% of people post without the insults or nastiness, despite their opposing views whether they like dogs or not. It is only maybe two who can't act in an adult way with making infantile posts that they know will inflame those who have dogs, it's as simple as that. I see your point though.

Frank, I confused you with another poster under "dog death" and attributed his remarks to you. For this, I apologise unreservedly. However, for your remarks on this post,-- "I said Frank was an ars****e it is true and I'm sorry for it." Punctuate as you will.

"99.99% of people post without the insults"

Given the number of members who regularly contribute to topics such as these, I can't agree with your percentage. I realise of course that you were simply trying to make a point without actually being serious with statistics or calculations.

I'm naming no names but on one topic, at least 5 members posted with insults in one form or another. The total contributers were about 18. That's more like 72%

Just one insult is one too many and dog threads seem to attract the worst mud-slinging than political discussions. From what I've seen, most political discussions end with an "agree to disagree" debate and that's how it should be.

hi all, sorry for causing all this trouble, but i was only saying i could see no harm in my dog weeing up a tree or bush. i have been on sites where the owners ask you to pour your grey water onto bushes and shrubs, this water contains water from people washing their selves, cleaning their teeth, shaving and washing up the dishes. it didnt bother me as i was not going to touch or lick or what ever, so why does it mater if a dog wees up them. and by the way frank, i didnt say my dog had lost control of his blader, he doesent wet himself and always lets me know if he needs to go. he just cant walk far so has to go up a tree or bush before i can get him to the dog walk. in any case the dog walk near this site does not belong to cc,. it does say in the rule book dogs wellcome on a lead, if you clear up their poo. so no my caravan does not stink. regards ray.

Correct Gary, I didn't read all the dog threads and use a calculator to work out the percentage ... heh! heh! ;O)

There is no need to do that and as I said, people disagree over all kinds of things about dogs. Even the vast majority of dog owners themselves will disagree with another dog owner over some point but without nastiness, name calling or malice. What I was getting at, and I think you know what I meant, are one or two will do it with malice to cause friction and by doing so will get the thread deleted to achieve their aims. For example look at the comment to your earlier posting.

Am I now among the 0.01% who cannot refrain from insults? I've only done it once, and that was only because Franks were so rude and uneccesary. I'm very pleasant and friendly really. Honest!

Emmo I never saw your post but Gary knows exactly what I'm getting at.

Gary suggested that dog threads should be banned. Who agreed with him? Who is known in past posts to cause friction about dogs? Who is known to hate dogs? Who would be over the moon if the post was deleted and his aim was achieved?

;O)

It doesn't take much working out mate :O)

Hi emmerson

I didn't see Frank's comment but I get the gist.

What makes me LAUGH is when you get non dog owners quoting rubbish and when challenged, they disappear to ask their 'friends' (if they actually have any) opinions on postings, they then type what their 'friend' has said and pretend the reply is their opinion. Maybe they are trying to cover up the fact they are really quite scared of some dogs.

If this seems a bit deep, email me and I will explain.

Be fair, LB. You're making it sound like it's only one person (you know who I mean) who causes trouble in dog threads. I was referring to several dog threads posted on here in the past and recently and they all end up in a tizzy and not by the same one person either.

I never saw Emmo's post either so I have no idea what's kicked it off, only that something (once again) has kicked off. Which was my reason for posting.

What makes me LAUGH is people who post that they know all there is to know about dogs and that they are always right and other people are always wrong and don't seem to believe that dogs can be nasty of their own accord, as was proved in another thread recently, several members reporting they had been bitten/attacked. No one can ever trust ANY dog 100% no matter what they say.

If this seems a bit deep, email me and I will explain.

I would like to know how many people pee in the bushes on the way back from the club house because they can not wait till they get back to their caravans or toilets?

I have NEVER said dogs can be trusted 100%, as usual Gary, that's you showing failure to understand certain things and use your own judgement/opinion, rather than others.

That's not hypothetical by the way, that's fact.

Kind regards

Watch out for scary dogs, there's at least one on every street corner.

Of course you didn't mention my name, silly me. I presume that is actually you replying and using the term 'sweetie' and not one of your buddies of the female gender.

Now run along and do your duties.

I hate dogs - I have to walk a four legged c**p making machine twice a day for my daughter who works full time - I walk on average 3 to 4 miles per walk and all I can say is that a dog spoils a damn good enjoyable walk - they stop every two minutes sniffing and cocking their leg up. The only good thing about this dog is that he is embaressed when he does have to go to the toilet. He tends to back as far as possible into bramble and/or stinngy nettles to dirty so that it is nigh on impossible to see let alone pick up.

Dogs AND tent campers should not pi$$ in the bushes.

At least the dogs don't shout at each other as they do it.

Nappies for dogs ...what a good idea.

Brian - I was once told by an old allotment gardener that urine is good for keeping green and black fly off the vegetables. Mind you I don't know about eating the vegetables - especially raw.

well if it every happens to me, I think I will personally pee up the same bush, hitch up my caravan and never darken the old sods site ever again. Vote with your purse and find a dog-friendly site, there are plenty of them, and hope that the old ****** goes bust through non-attendance
