Just returned from a trip and saw that lots of newer vans were
running their water heater on gas although plugged into hookup.
One guy I spoke to said he must have blown a fuse somewhere but
couldnt find where - I guess they all must have blown their heater elements as the Dometic water heaters are not as robust as the older Carver boilers were which had some sort of cutout. The handbook says you must have power turned off before filling with water - I make a point of turning off the power when I drain my water at the end of a trip. so thatthe the power is off when filling with water on a new trip.
