Dorema Awnings help?

My wife and I have just bought a New 2008 Bailey Pageant 5 berth. We looked at the Awnings at the dealers. They have a used Dorema Montana in Blue and mint condition. They want £300 for it. Does anyone know if this is a fair price and what the awnings are like?

Hi tugster, If the awning is in mint condition and you are happy with it then I would go for it, we bought a dorema porch awning second hand recently we hav'nt had chance to use it yet but it seems good quality. I have no doubt someone will be along in a minute to tell you they are rubbish but you will have to make your own mind up, personally I think you will probably struggle to find a much better deal.

Go for it Tugster i had 1 last year on previous van also in blue.They do look a bit special on site.

ps i have the tall annexe (used twice) if your interested but am about to put it on ebay in the next day or two.

Hi Tugster We used a Dorema awning on our last Bailey (haven't got rid of it yet) and it was really nice. It was a 12.5ft van but the awning was a doddle to put up and looked really smart. We used a storm strap in really windy weather and bought the awning clips for the poles, save screwing ends on the van side. Would have another Dorema no worry.

Were now on our 4th Dorema awning and have had no problems at all.Would recommend the aluminium poles, they are very simple to erect.
