I have just purchased a Dorema Hilton porch awning second hand which came without any instructions. I have managed to work out what poles go where, but I cant see how the poles attach to the van. My Dorema full awning has hooks that fit into pads and push against the van too tighten the canvass. Can anyone enlighten me as to how the Hilton works. Thanks.

We have Laser awning and frame is freestanding and held tight to van by awning itself. We have instruction leaflet if you need it i can scan and email it We marked all the pole corners with different coloured tapes as it takes a few goes to sort them out We also use 28 mm pipe insulation on th bits near van as it is easy to get a little ding on van side

Hi Julian,

We have a Dorema Hilton which we use in the winter.

The poles do not attach to the 'van anywhere. You will have two upright legs with a 90 degree joiner attached, along with a peice of straight also with a 90 degree, theses are tied to the awning, so they sit snuggly against the padding. They have to be raised so they are the same height as the awning rail, then, you should have another pole, which joins the two uprights together, thus constructing the "attachment" to your 'van.

I think you can get the instructions from the Dorema website!:O)

Hope this helps.

Thanks David and Wendy. This weeekend will be the first time I will put everything together on the van. So far I have just looked at the parts spread out on the lawn. Sounds fairly straight forward.
