Has anyone tried locating one of these porch awnings? We have just spent half the morning on the telephone trying to locate a dealership (up and down the country) with one in stock, to no avail. How do companies expect to sell their products on this premiss?

Hello Sue,

I have had one four years and find it very easy to put up and I have to do it on my own as my wife is disabled. I don't have to pull the canvas over the top, I pull the awning through the rail as normal, whilst beneath the awning I put up the two vertical poles on the van side at the correct height and then connect the horizontal bracing closest to the van. After that the two front poles to hold the awning off the ground and then complete the rest of the frame. Complete with pegging it out I can now do it in around 30 minutes on my own.

Hi Eddie,

I also have an Isabella Zenith Lux awning / sun canopy which we use extensively on the continent. I have to admit that this is much easier to erect than my Dorema Toronto porch awning and also in a differnt league to the Dorema. However the Dorema has been and still is a very good porch awning and has survived gale force winds down in Narbonne and Torroella de Montgri in NE Spain. Would I buy another one - yes it has and continues to be durable and serviceable for our needs.
