Dorema Vitesse XL vs Isabella Magnum Porch Awnings - your tho...

We are considering buying an inbetween porch awning and full awning and have narrowed it down to these two Dorema Vitesse XL and Isabella Magnum. Although have found there is upto about £300 in price. Just wondered if anyone had any of the 2 awnings and how long they take to put, quality etc.

Hi, we have owned an Isabella Magnum with carbon fibre poles for several years. We have used it in gales, heavy and deep snow, storms etc etc plus lots of sun!! The awning stands up to anything - never had a problem no matter how high the winds. Very easy to put up usually takes us about 15 minutes. Would recommend the awning to anyone.

Sorry going to be a bit biased here.

I have 2 Isabella awnings ,a commadore and a magnum, cant fault them.Quality is great they dont fade all bits are replacable and Isabella tend to replace them for free if you ring direct.

The magnum is great, dead easy to put up and will last for years, can go from van to van and gives you lots more space than a porch awning, not cheap but scour the freeads/ebay etc bargains do come up 1 yr old used once half price etc.

Another happy Magnum owner; purchased it in 2002.

With any of these part awnings you need to ensure neither drop is across a window because they can fret them.

Funny you should mention that - the van is in storage and we need to measure. Our van is a Bailey Ranger 470/4 so any thoughts from any Bailey 470/4 owners would be appreciated.

We have a 470/4 Ranger to give you some idea for measurement, we have a Sunncamp Ultima porch 260, now when erected the front side sits just before the rear of your left hand side window, and just before the door opening, and the the other side end sits just before the toilet accessary opening panel, for dimensions see www.awnings.co.uk.

found this site gives the best all round prices and service.
